Then, I used a rectangle shaped cutter to cut the shape of the buttons. When the buttons are leather hard, I carefully mark where I want the holes. Then, I use a series of 4 different sizes of hand tools with a drill end to make the holes progressively larger as I go. The buttons are kept flat until they are bone dry. Then, they are bisque fired to cone 04.
