Components measure 5/8"w x 1/2" tall
These components were made by rolling out the clay and using a handmade stamp I made to press in the design in the clay. Then, I used a shaped cutter to cut the shape of the components. I carefully insert a high fire wire into the clay piece while the clay is still wet. Next, at the leatherhard stage, I paint the color and details with underglaze. The components are kept flat until they are bone dry. Then, they are bisque fired to cone 04. Finally, they are glazed and fired to cone 6.
